view of Prague from Petrin tower
Prague is the fourth large city I have visited this summer. In May I was in Denver with my brother Cody's family. Then Bonnie and I went to Minneapolis in June. I visited Justin and Meredith in St. Louis in early July (travelling to Hannibal to visit Mark Twain's boyhood home on Independence Day). Now it's Prague in July. I am realizing that the biggest culture shock and adjustment is not American to another culture in another country but simply small city (Bismarck) to big city life. So now I am thinking about what is Czech and what is simply big city life: public transport, hustle and bustle, tourism, art galleries, large parks, etc. Big cities are just big cities.
