dinner with Jeremiah's friend Travis
One of Jer's friends I enjoy very much is poet/novelist/art curator/critic Travis Jeppesen. I read his novel "Victims" last year. You can find reviews of it on the internet. I memorized a couple of his poems and like these lines from a poem related to watching TV: The trees offer
too much comfort. We see the open
frontier, but when we reach out to
touch it, find it flat and staticky.
The hair stands up on the back of our
necks. Just looking doesn't do
that.
This quote is from a sonnet-lile poem called "Eat My Rot, Corky."
You can find three of his poems at the 3 AM Magazine website.
